Why we built Black Rook.
Black Rook Consulting was built to offer a more direct and flexible alternative to traditional consulting, whilst also enabling the founders to work on the kind of projects that inspire them.
Our Ambition is to be the small, expert consultancy of choice for organisations navigating strategy, maturity and transformation challenges where senior, practical expertise makes the difference. We want Black Rook to be known for work that is sharp, flexible and genuinely useful: the kind of support clients turn to when they need experience, judgement and close involvement.
Alongside that, we see a clear opportunity to serve the fractional and underserved SME market, where larger consultancies are often not well placed to engage. We also want to reserve pro bono support for charities we genuinely believe in and can help in a meaningful way.

20+ years across global markets. Specialises in technology and digital strategy directly tethered to business goals. Senior roles at PwC and Standard Bank. Has delivered transformation programmes across EMEA, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.

Executive Advisory & Transformation
25+ years specializing in M&A, business transformation and complex change. Deep experience in retail, leisure and marketing alongside large-scale separations in entertainment and banking. Has worked with PE-backed businesses, listed companies and owner-managed businesses across the UK and Europe.
